Lou Reed: “New Sensations”

Released in 1984, this album would have been a lot better if it had been recorded four or five years earlier. A couple of songs stand out on first listen (“I Love You, Suzanne,” “My Friend George”), and I’m sure there are other good ones in there somewhere – it’s just so hard to hear them through the awful ‘80s production techniques. Which reminds me, Lou – whose nieces were those backup singers, anyway? Bleh.
