I’ve always thought St. Petersburg has the potential to be a leading bicycle city. The city recently removed a traffic lane on First Avenue in Old Northeast so it could install a northbound bike lane (car traffic is southbound only) – that’s what’s in the top pic on this post, actually. You can see the northbound bike lane even has its own double-yellow line. It’s a small thing, but given the history here, it’s a big step.
